Post-Covid Excitement for Work

Last week much of the crew had covid so we were stuck quarantined in a campsite. I'm not gonna lie it was a very boring week. So we were all excited to get back out, go somewhere new and get back to work this week, and this week definitely lived up. We have been working outside of Breckenridge fixing up a bridge and hauling a lot of materials along the trail. It has been very physically demanding but also extremely rewarding at the end of each day. But the hardest challenge for me this week has been the rain. It's been raining every day during the workday and at night so we, and much of our gear, have constantly been wet. It's been fun learning to embrace the suck that is being uncomfortable but through it, we've kept our heads up and had a good time.

Finally, today the sun has shined with only a slight drizzle and it is an amazing feeling. Overall, a great work week and I can't wait for the weekend to relax and hike a 14er.
