The Continental Divide Trail

Both the first & second week of this project felt rewarding because the work we were doing was for the Continental Divide Trail. With such a popular trail being affected by the fires, it was sad to see all the dead trees and burned bridges. We left every day with ash all over our skin and clothes, but we watched a hiker use our bridge after all of our hard work. We got "Thank You" from the CDT hikers. We were also able to work with the stock at the NPS Station and feed them as well as cleaned their equipment. This hitch opened my eyes to the differences you can make for people participating in recreation as well as the variety of jobs we can network. Through this experience, we met so many different employees of the Park and heard about their jobs and how they got there.
